Below are the August 2012 reliability and punctuality statistics for the Argyll Ferries passenger service on the Gourock-Dunoon route.
These are published online by the company and are also placed on ferries and at the two ports as part of Argyll Ferries ongoing commitment to keeping its customers fully informed.
August was, of course, the month of the annual Cowal Games, well served by the two ferry shuttle services Dunoon is fortunate to enjoy – this fast passenger service between the two town centres , from and to the railhead at Gourock from Glasgow; and the vehicle and passenger service from Western Ferries.
It is worth noting that the weather related cancellations noted for the month of August – 33 – should be read in the context of the Argyll Ferries provision of 60 sailings a day on the route, 30 in either direction.
